Two lines of dialogue simultaneously?

Unread postby jinzal » Mon May 29, 2017 1:49 pm

Kinda new to editing subtitles and can't figure out 2 things.

First, how do I make 2 lines of dialogue appear at the same time (one near the top and one near the bottom)?

Second but kinda similar situation: 2 lines of dialogue but this time, the lower one stays on the screen longer while the upper one only shows up for a few seconds second
For example: lower would appear at 00:00:00.00 --> 00:00:05.00 while the upper one shows up at 00:00:01.00 --> 00:00:03.00

Whenever I try to overlap subtitle durations and save, Aegisub crashes.

It's supposed to work exactly the way you do it.

1) What version of Aegisub are you using, and what OS and OS version are you running?

2) Have you tried both with video loaded and without video loaded?

Do not PM me asking for help with Aegisub, Automation, karaoke or anything like that, I won't reply.
