Video demonstrations (screencasts)

Unread postby jfs » Wed Oct 31, 2007 7:34 pm

One of the ideas for Aegisub 2 has also been to provide some help in the form of short video demonstrations of specific features.

Here's the first one! Someone asked how to use the kanji timer, so I decided to make that one for a test, let me know how you think it turned out :P
Sorry for all the background noise, my PC is rather noisy, and I have a table mounted microphone, so it also picks up all kinds of vibrations from the table and even the floor.

Download kanji-timer demonstration (AVI XviD MP3, 5 min 20 sec, 12 MB)
View basic styling tutorial (YouTube video)

Hopefully we'll get to make some more.
Do not PM me asking for help with Aegisub, Automation, karaoke or anything like that, I won't reply.

;) Thanks for the video demo, it does help me (a lot) on timing all the Kanji faster.

I hope there will be more videos on other stuffs too.

Yo!, do u guys need any vidcasts/tutorials? I was thinking of making some timing* & karaoke effects tutorials since the manual still covers only very basic examples.

*yeah some people I saw k time not via sound but by randomly inputing {\k(randomnumber that sounds good )}...So >.<

I allready made one "timed" karaoke. But it is in danish and it is not good enough to be a true tutorial.
But I am making a "karaoke" tutorial where I refer to the tutorial in the manual.

I got around to make another short video, that shows how to use Styles and the Style Manager/Style Editor. It's up in the first post.

You just need to apply big borders with blur: \bord10\blur4 you can change the values and see the result.

Best regards

There is some chance of field:
Timing Post-Processor
It's a video tutorial?

Or that's where those areas, educational videos were?
???
