Aegisub crashes suddenly

Unread postby evilwithin » Sun Mar 22, 2015 3:09 pm

[Aegisub Error]
An error occurred trying to render the video frame on the screen.
Error message reported: glViewport(dx1, dy1, dx2, dy2) failed with error code 1280

It's the same PC, and everything was okay.
Don't know why but when I open a video now it crashes with this error.
If I try again, it opens like nothing happened.
I never touched any option.
It's default setting, and I've tried both portable and install version.

I have to open a video twice every time I need to do something on Aegisub now.
Any suggestion?

Does Aegisub actually crash? As in, after the error appears the program completely closes.
If Aegisub continues running and functioning after the error is shown, it's not crashing, even if opening video has failed.

Please find out these things:
- If the error happens with all videos or only some videos; try using Dummy Video to test both SD and HD resolutions
- Your graphics card (graphics chipset) manufacturer, usually NVidia, AMD or Intel
- Your graphics driver version
- Your OS version, e.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac OS 10.9, Ubuntu 14.10, or whatever
Do not PM me asking for help with Aegisub, Automation, karaoke or anything like that, I won't reply.

Yes, it's still functioning. (sorry for the confusion)

- The error's happening with all videos of various formats and resolutions. (and I don't recall that Ive changed any codec recently).
- My Graphic is HD4600 (intel)
- The version is from notebook manufacturer's (MSI) I've never changed this. They recommend me not to update.
- Win 7 64bit

I'm telling you, it was okay with this PC.
Should I format the entire one?

Hello, I get the same error, with same circumstances. Aegisub runs after error, and the video always loads on second time in a second!

The case with my computer is:
- It is a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
- The videocard of the laptop has burned out, and not functioning (ATI Mobility Radeon)
- The screen of the laptop is not functioning.
- I use my laptop with an external monitor trough HDMI cable.
- I use the built in motherboard VGA together with the processor to do the work of the videocard.
This condition causes problems with videos, visualisation and video + subtitle features.

I think, something is wrong with your video card if you get this error.
It can happen anytime. Mine happened the same way. One day it desided to not start up, and my videocard was gone.
